WeAreOpen was founded in Budapest in 2013 by the visionary leaders of Prezi, Google and espell. The founders, Péter Árvai, Richárd Schuster and Miklós Bán had a clear idea to promote and help organisations understand and experience the benefits of openness in the workplace. By 2023, more than 1100 companies joined WeAreOpen’s manifesto, which makes us the largest DEI organisation in the country, with a service palette that covers the entire range of DEI actions from audit to policy making, capability building and regular reviews.
Our mission is to generate social impact by providing meaningful DEI services to companies, small and big alike. We encourage Hungary-based employers to join us to become part of a real-life community of openness-championing organisations and to better understand how to take actions towards greater diversity and inclusion in the Hungarian workplace.
